Penalty Shoot-out

About this game
What kind of game is Penalty Shoot-out?
Penalty Shoot-out is an EVOPLAY football Instant Game rather than a reel slot. There are no paylines, Wilds, or Scatters. You choose a national team, set a virtual stake, and select an area of the goal for each kick. A round contains five shots, and consecutive goals move you up a visible prize-multiplier ladder.
The central decision comes after a goal. You can press Collect to take the displayed award, or continue toward the next multiplier. The format is quick and visually simple, but that does not mean it should be played without reading the rules. Every decision to continue leaves the current amount uncollected while the next RNG result is resolved.
SlotLab’s demo uses virtual credit and requires no registration or deposit. Virtual credit cannot be withdrawn. Use it to learn the buttons, follow the multiplier ladder, and see whether you can stop at a point chosen in advance. A sequence of demo goals does not predict the same sequence in real-money play.

SlotLab checked EVOPLAY’s Penalty Shoot-out page, its official product sheet, and the demo Rules screen on July 14, 2026. EVOPLAY gives May 2020 as the release month without specifying a day.
The 96% RTP is a long-run theoretical return calculated across a very large number of rounds. It does not mean a 100-credit session returns 96 credits, and it does not publish the chance of scoring the next kick. Read what RTP means if you are tempted to apply the percentage to a short demo sample.
EVOPLAY has also described Penalty Shoot-out as one of its top-performing instant titles. Its official game analysis highlights the combination of football atmosphere, a point-and-shoot interaction, and an immediate result. That history explains why the title grew into a series; it does not improve an individual player’s odds.
How one round works
Begin by selecting the country you want to represent. The Rules screen says this choice is for entertainment and does not change the result, so choose the flag you like. Confirm the team, then select the virtual stake for the round. The same stake applies to all five shots and cannot be changed in the middle of the round.
On the pitch, target markers appear around the goal. Select one to take a shot, or press Random to have the game choose the target. When the animation finishes, the game shows whether that shot is a winning or losing result. A goal advances the Progress display and reveals the next multiplier.
After a successful kick, you have two choices. Collect takes the amount currently shown and ends your run. Continuing starts the next shot and gives you a chance to reach the next multiplier. This decision can repeat while shots remain and the round is active.
Use the Progress bar to check your current step and coefficient. Do not rely only on the goalkeeper animation, because it resolves more quickly than most people can verify the displayed amounts. Before continuing, read the current multiplier, Win amount, and original stake.
Does choosing a corner change the odds?
No target is favoured by the published rules. EVOPLAY states that a random number generator determines the round result and that all positions are equally likely. Choosing left, right, high, or low makes the football scene interactive, but it does not give that area an advantage.
Random is not a higher-paying or lower-paying mode. It simply makes the target choice for you. If manually selecting a corner creates the feeling that the goalkeeper has learned your pattern, that is a story imposed on random results rather than a rule described by EVOPLAY. Alternate targets for variety if you like, but do not treat a sequence as a system.
The official Rules screen does not publish a goal probability per shot. A small sample cannot supply it. Scoring six times in ten attempts does not establish a 60% chance, and several saved shots do not make the next goal more likely.
The real player controls are the stake chosen before the round, whether to Collect after a win, and when to stop the session. The goal result is random. Keeping those categories separate is the easiest way to understand the game.
Reading the x1.92 to x30.72 multiplier ladder
The game displays five award steps for consecutive successful shots:
- First goal: x1.92
- Second consecutive goal: x3.84
- Third consecutive goal: x7.68
- Fourth consecutive goal: x15.36
- Fifth consecutive goal: x30.72
The coefficient applies to the round stake. For example, a 10-credit demo stake at x1.92 displays a 19.2-credit award before any formatting or currency display used by that build. This example only explains multiplication; it is not a suggested stake.
Each step after the first is double the previous coefficient, but do not reverse-engineer a goal probability from that pattern. EVOPLAY publishes the multiplier schedule and overall RTP separately and does not state a per-shot win percentage. Knowing the top award tells you nothing about how often a five-goal run will appear in your session.
EVOPLAY’s public description calls the reward for completing the shoot-out a super bonus. In the Rules screen, the fifth and final step is x30.72. This is not a hidden free-spins feature, and there are no slot Scatter symbols to collect.
Collect or continue: make the decision before the kick
Collect takes the current winnings; it is not a pause button. Before a round begins, set a simple rule such as, “I will Collect after the second goal.” Following a decision made in a calm moment is easier than reconsidering every time the next, larger coefficient lights up.
Continuing does not make the next shot more accurate. It keeps the current amount uncollected and resolves another random kick. If you cannot yet explain which figure Collect will pay, stay in the demo at its lowest practical virtual setting until the display is clear. Do not continue because the keeper just moved in one direction several times.
Enjoying the tension is not the same as accepting every available risk. You can like the rising ladder and still Collect early. The game gives no special award for always continuing, and a demo session does not need to reach x30.72 to be useful.
What to read on the Rules screen
Penalty Shoot-out does not have a slot-style symbol paytable. Its Rules pages perform the same job. Confirm these items before playing:
- the five shots in each round and when the stake can change;
- the purpose of Play, Random, and Collect;
- the Progress display and all five multiplier steps;
- the statement that country choice does not change the outcome;
- the RNG statement and equal likelihood of target positions;
- the 96.00% RTP and its long-run explanation.
History lets you review recent rounds and see where you collected. It is useful for checking the interface, not for finding a target that is “due.” Past positions do not alter a new RNG result. The broader paytable guide can still help you separate game rules, payout coefficients, and limits even though Penalty Shoot-out is not a reel slot.
A focused 20-minute Penalty Shoot-out demo plan
Minutes 0–4: Read Rules
Open the information screen and find the five coefficients, RTP, shot count, and definitions of Random and Collect. Set a low virtual stake. Do not start until you can identify the first multiplier without guessing.
Minutes 4–9: Test target selection and Random
Play two or three rounds, alternating between a manual target and Random. The goal is not to decide which method is “more accurate.” Check whether you can read each result and which control feels clearer on your screen.
Minutes 9–14: Test a Collect rule
Before a round, decide to Collect after the first or second goal. If you reach that point, follow the plan and watch how the Win amount moves to Balance. In another round, choose a different stop step to understand the display. There is no need to chase x30.72.
Minutes 14–18: Review History and Progress
Open History and inspect the shot sequence, where the round ended, and which multiplier was collected. Return to the pitch and relate the Progress marker to the same information during a live round.
Minutes 18–20: Stop and explain the game
Ask when the stake can change, what Random does, whether country choice matters, and whether you followed your Collect rule. If any answer is unclear, reopen Rules rather than extending the session until five goals appear.
Combine this routine with our responsible demo testing guide. The game-specific risk is its speed: a short round makes it easy to begin another without noticing how many have passed.
Mobile checks for a fast point-and-shoot game
EVOPLAY’s product sheet confirms mobile and vertical support. The pitch places five targets, Betting, Random, Collect, and the Progress display on one compact screen. Check that your hand does not cover the current award when you select a corner.
Before starting, make sure the stake button is far enough from Play to avoid a mistaken tap. Open Rules and verify that the complete multiplier row remains readable. Then Collect after an early goal and confirm that the button gives clear feedback. If you switch tabs or lock the phone, recheck the stake and Progress step before touching the goal.
Try one muted segment as well. Crowd and kick sounds add tension, but you should still be able to distinguish a win, loss, and collected amount visually. If audio is the only way you know a round has ended, slow down and wait for the result panel before making another choice.
Penalty Shoot-out versus Penalty Shoot-out: Street
Penalty Shoot-out: Street arrived in July 2023. It moves the setting to Brazilian streets while retaining the core idea of selecting a goal area and increasing a multiplier after successful shots. EVOPLAY’s official franchise analysis says Street was designed with Latin American audiences in mind and became one of the studio’s strong performers. SlotLab checked the source on July 14, 2026.
Start with the original if you want to learn the basic flow in a large stadium, then open Street and compare target visibility, multiplier presentation, and Collect feedback. Use similar virtual stakes and equal test time. Do not rank them by which happened to produce more goals in a tiny sample.
Penalty Shoot-out versus Penalty Shoot Out: Cup Mania
Penalty Shoot Out: Cup Mania extends the format with a 15-level multiplier progression and Bonus Buy. EVOPLAY documents those additions in the same official franchise analysis, checked on July 14, 2026. It also updates the visuals, animation, sound, and interface, giving you more information to follow than in the original.
Choose the first Penalty Shoot-out if you want the cleanest introduction to target selection, RNG outcomes, and the Collect decision. Move to Cup Mania if you want a longer ladder and extra feature options, but read its own Rules first. Its 15 stages do not use the five-step x1.92–x30.72 schedule described on this page.
Responsible-play cautions
Aiming at the goal can feel skill-based, but the Rules screen says RNG determines the result and player choices do not affect it unless stated. Demo practice cannot make the ball more accurate. What you can practise is reading the coefficient and collecting at a planned point.
Short rounds can accumulate quickly. Set a time and round count before you begin. Do not raise the stake after a save, switch corners because the goalkeeper seems to have a pattern, or continue to recover previous results. A streak of demo goals also gives the next real-money session no advantage.
SlotLab accepts no deposits and offers no withdrawals. If you later play for money elsewhere, reopen that version’s Rules, verify RTP and stake limits, and set a total amount you can afford to lose. Read demo games versus real-money games to prepare for the pressure that virtual credit does not create.
Penalty Shoot-out summary
Penalty Shoot-out is a five-kick EVOPLAY Instant Game released in May 2020 with a published 96.00% RTP. You select a country, set one stake for the round, and either choose a target or use Random. RNG decides the result, all target positions are equally likely, and the country choice does not affect a win.
Successful consecutive kicks move the multiplier from x1.92 through x30.72. After a goal, Collect takes the current award while continuing attempts the next step. The best demo method is to read Rules first, choose a Collect point before the round, test both manual and Random selection, and stop on schedule. You do not need a five-goal run for the demo to teach you something useful.
